On my deck I used to have a little rusty planter lined with plastic wrap. It filled up with rainwater and bits of plant matter, and sometimes got a vegetal oil-sheen on the surface. In the winter, it froze. I took photos when it looked interesting. “Scrying” means “divination through looking into a crystal ball or other reflective surface.” The planter rusted through in the spring of 2018, so this was a self-limiting series.
